One of the nation’s premier flamenco companies, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana returns to our stage with a stunning new work choreographed by two of flamenco’s most exciting artists: Jose Maldonado and Karen Lugo—with an original live score by guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz. Fronteras asks: “What is stronger—what unites us, or what separates us?” Flamenco Vivo’s star-studded cast includes Maldonado, praised by The New York Times for his “bursts of brilliance,” and Lugo, lauded by The Washington Post for her “triumph of style.” Fronteras is a passionate display of the power of flamenco to transcend barriers.
