Seating
Wheelchair-Accessible Seating
Our wheelchair-accessible seating is restricted to individuals who require the accessibility features of this seat due to a disability. If you purchase an accessible seat for someone who does not require the features of this seat, our staff may require your entire party to be moved to an alternate seating location.
Companion Seat
Access to these seats are restricted to those who are accompanying a person requiring an accessible seat. If you purchase an accessible seat for someone who does not require the features of this seat, our staff may require your entire party to be moved to an alternate seating location.
Row A seats are accessible for patrons in mobility devices who are unable to navigate stairs. Row A seats are accessed via an electronic lift. We recommend confirming that your mobility device will fit within the lift platform prior to purchasing Row A seats. This ADA compliant lift meets the following interior measurements of 35.25”x 49.5”. If you have questions about accessing Row A seats, please email the Box Office Staff, Laura Campa, or call the Box Office phone at 1.562.985.7000 as soon as possible. Thank you.
Seat Size
Please be advised that the average width of seating in our theatre is 16" seat-only and 17" between fixed armrests. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Box Office Staff at 1.562.985.7000.
ASL
Sign Language Interpreters are available upon request for all performances at the Carpenter Center. Please allow four weeks notice so we may schedule an interpreter. To request an interpreter, please email the Box Office Staff, Laura Campa, or call the Box Office phone at (562) 985-7000, Monday – Thursday, 11am – 4pm.
Listening Devices
For patrons without a hearing aid, assistive listening devices are available for loan for all performances at no charge. Please inquire at the lobby reception desk. The receivers have an adjustable volume control and can be used with any 3.5mm phone jack-style headset. You may use your personal headset or one we provide. For patrons with a hearing aid, please inquire about our induction loop system rather than a headset. We require a driver's license or similar ID to borrow a listening device.
Sensory Inclusivity
The Carpenter Center is a KultureCity Sensory Inclusive Certified venue.
KultureCity Sensory Bags are equipped with noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and KCVIP lanyards, and are available for loan at the lobby reception desk. A photo I.D. will be required to check out a bag. Sensory Bags must be returned at the end of the event.
