Latin GRAMMY Award-winning Singer-Songwriter Nella Brings a Soulful Night of Song to the Carpenter Center
For Release: October 30, 2026
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Latin GRAMMY Award-winner Nella performs on the Carpenter Center’s Cabaret Stage on Friday, December 11 at 8 p.m. in her last scheduled U.S. appearance this year. Known for her powerhouse voice, the singer-songwriter blends the folkloric traditions of her native Venezuela with Andalusian influences in this soulful evening of Latin music and reimagined classics, presented in partnership with KCRW.
This past August, Nella graced The Hollywood Bowl with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic in A Concert for Venezuela. Her rise to fame began in 2019, when she went from Berklee graduate to Latin GRAMMY Award winner for Best New Artist. The New York Times called the title track of her debut album Voy one of the best songs of 2019 in any genre. Nella has performed with Alejandro Sanz, collaborated with Jennifer López, and performed in Academy Award winner Asghar Farhadi’s film Everybody Knows. Her third album, En Otra Vida, honored historic female Latin American composers. Her most recent release, Hilo Rojo, is a collaboration with Puerto Rican salsa singer Gilberto Santa Rosa.
Nella’s appearance is part of the Carpenter Center’s Spotlight Sessions, allowing patrons access to the unfiltered energy of rising stars. All performances take place on the Center’s Cabaret Stage, which features cabaret seating never more than 40 feet from the artist. Tickets to see Nella on the Center’s Cabaret Stage are $49, including all ticketing fees.
In addition to Nella’s appearance, the Carpenter Center is home to more Latin American music and dance this December. Pacífico Dance Company perform Mujeres de Mexico: Stories in Motion on Friday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m., capturing the vibrant traditions of Mexican folklórico dance. On Sunday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m., Forever Tango captures the passion and drama of Argentina’s most iconic dance, with music by an eleven-piece orchestra.
