Los Angeles Opera – So You Want to Be an Opera Singer

for Grades 3, 4 & 5

School visits January 25 through February 12, 2010

Performance at the Carpenter Center - February 16, 2010

One of the most requested Classroom Connections programs ever, the Los Angeles Opera returns with a new 45-minute work opera based on the popular television shows about dancers and singers. Four professional singers ‘compete’ for a role in a new opera, and the audience gets to see exactly what it ‘takes.’ In classrooms, the singers will teach students about the opera, its history and traditions, including what ‘bravo’ means.
