In this rare Southern California appearance, Ballet Preljocaj peels back an undiscovered layer of Vivaldi’s revered opus, The Four Seasons, to reveal a fresh, provocative, and high-spirited ballet. Choreographer Angelin Preljocaj hones the notions of springing up, exaltation, suspension and vibration—leaving audiences in awe of the craft. Preljocaj has teamed up with visual artist Fabrice Hyber— whose objects create an elaborate environment and a particularly unexpected cocoon from which the four seasons blossom forth.
